Today I had an unexpected day off, so I have been busy with this LO. I decided to have a go at the challenge I'd seen over on the Scrapology-adventures in Scrapbooking blog.
In which they suggest we may be able to create a LO based on this wonderful LO by Stacey Cohen.. isn't it pretty?
At first glance I thought.. o h this doesn't look too difficult to scraplift... err err! Wrong!
Firstly.. I watercolour painted some white card stock shades of pink.. then waited for it to dry...I'm not patient so this was difficult for me!
Then I took a heart punch.. next problem... they were upside down.. and although I could put one or two sideways on.. the rest looked totally wrong.. so I then decided to use a Martha Stewart Punch 'anywhere on the page punch'.. I bought it months ago and hadn't yet used it (does anyone else do that?) So that was the saving grace.
I then punched out the hearts and eventually cut around the remaining shapes.
I then used a treasures proof of one of my wedding photos.. and no- I didn't photoshop it! My wedding photographer was very clever.. he used a margarine tub over the end of his lens which he had already stuck the image of the songsheet into.. wasn't that a clever idea for pre-PS days?
I then mounted the photo on pink CS and added a doily, white lacy remnant, roses and some scrolls and finished off with a scattering of pearls.
I can't say I totally love it..but I am quite pleased with the end result.. what do you think?
