As part of my New Year Resolutions, I have resolved to be more creative, try new things, and don't get stuck in a rut... be a more regular blogger and enjoy my 'me' time.
To that end I intend to join in a few more challenges and I start with my old favourite The Counterfeit Kit challenge. This month they are counterfeiting Hip 2 be Square's December kit.
Here
......and here is my take on it which I am calling Favourite Things.. on the basis that I chose a lot of teal/turquoise which features heavily in a lot of my LO's. Of course, I added pinks, reds and Kraft colours too.. and even some vellum, which I am hopeless with so it'll be interesting to see how that turns out. At least its a resolution to tackle.. how will I use the vellum?? I may have a snoop round You Tube to get some ideas.
Unfortunately it is horrible weather today so the colour is rubbish, but given the conditions, I can live with it. The colours are much closer to the original in real life.
Here is another picture of the close ups of the embellishments I have chosen to go with the kit too.
Now I'm off to load it on their blog and start using the kit... laters...
Thanks for looking!
Wow Elaine, you didn't waste any time!!!
ReplyDeleteA lovely kit and look forward to seeing your challenge projects:)
Happy New Year!
LOVE that you are already IN! Scrap on, sista!
ReplyDeleteI love your kit. So pretty!!

Oh I LOVE vellum! YouTube should give you tons of ideas. Try Pinterest too :) Can't wait to see what you create!
ReplyDeleteBeautiful kit, love the teal/tourquise with the reds.
ReplyDeleteBeautiful!
ReplyDeleteSuper cute kit
ReplyDeleteQuick off the mark! Must be that organised craft room. And what a lovely kit - you nailed the colours perfectly. Great job and it's lovely to see you here.
ReplyDeleteVellum: I use it quite often - make journalling pockets, overlays over a double photo or a brighter paper that you'd like to tone down, confetti filled bags, subtle layers, edges and cut out elements for clusters. It can be sprayed or embossed (dry or wet) too. I LOVE it! Have fun, looking forward to seeing what you make with it
Great kit!!! Vellum. Wow...what an older (LOL) stash item. I was wishing I had some the other day because I saw this neat idea on a blog. Someone had sewn a pocket full of sequins and layered it as an embellie on their page. It was adorable. You know....I bet I still have some vellum, some where. ;)
ReplyDeleteThe pops of minty green are wonderful! And Vellum is a must for me right now…I found some great vellum with polka dots. :) Happy Sigh.

Oh lots of goodies there. Love the teal, I've been enamored with it for months. And I too struggled with cloudy skies - but I couldn't wait any longer to get started.
