Good evening everyone
Here is a very brief post as it is late and I am behind with my posts... I also have another couple of LOs to share with you after this, so please excuse the brevity of my descriptions.
Here is a LO that I made with a sketch from Purple Pumpkin Crafts blog and their monthly challenge.
Was I going to have a lot of white space?.., was I going to add lots of texture to the background etc.
As it turned out, I decided to make it a Lo with lots of white space. I used papers from my June Joy, Counterfeit Kit and added some very old photos from a holiday back in 1988 in Greece.
There is quite a long story behind these lovely photos of my two boys on the beach.. which I won't bore you with now.. (as I say it is late) but I wanted to share the story.. so I have written almost a whole page of journalling on the reverse side of the Lo for future generations to also enjoy... as a family we talk of this story often, so when my youngest son gets given this LO (which I am including in an album to be given to him on his 30th birthday next year) he will remember the story!
THAT is why I love Scrapbooking!!
If you want to know more about my love of Scrapbooking please take a peek at my previous post that I have done as part of an expanding blog tour.
Pop back later too so you can see some other creations too.
Thanks for stopping by!
Love it! The colours & the white space are awesome & now I'm ITCHING to know the story!! Natural 'sticky beak' that I am:) And I'm soooo pinching the 30th birthday idea...might make my son one - he's 26 atm, so I've got time. Great way to scrap those pre-digi photos, especially ones that 'relate' to them! And of course, we are so happy that you got inspired by our PP sketch this month!!!ReplyDelete
