WOYWW 380

Good morning hot deskers... where has this last week gone? I can't believe yet another week ahs gone by! So, today I am joining in Julias What's on Your Wordesk Wednesday again with her idea over on The Stamping Ground blog.

Last week I was a lot more able to comment on all your fabulous blogs.. (apologies if I missed some of you) as Mum seems to be a little better and I have more time again. That said it hasn't stopped me from getting crafty again this week even though I was less in need of  de-stressing! Lol

So.. without further ado here is my desk yesterday afternoon.. it was soo messy because I have been frantically crafting this week on account that I am away next week so I needed to get ahead with some Chinese Whisper cards and layouts I needed to finish before I went.

I have also made a start on my Christmas cards and as, you may know, I now design for Merly Impressions  so I have been using the new Kaisercraft range to make lots of things..many of which I can't share with you yet, but here are ones I can. These have all been made with the Silent Night collection Paper Pad from their new collections.. lovely designs with a traditional theme. All the add ons, like the wood flourishes, the large star, the Tim Holtz Pine Twine, collectables pack etc all come from Merly Impressions so if you're looking for Christmas stash.. do check them out! Also you might like to know I've just taken delivery of the MOST amazing set of new gel pens.. also from Kaisercraft.. and they are just FABULOUS! At £34.95 they are amazing value for 48 pens.. they are stunning..(and come in a great box where they don't all move about  so they will be travelling with me next week) they have neon pens, glitter pens, metallic pens and pastel pens..something for every occasion. I am so impressed with them that I have shared them here.I got them from Meryl too

and here are the cards I made.. using the pens to highlight features on the cards.

Also, over the weekend, Hey Little Magpie held a weekend of challenges to help get us inspired and they provided sketches, bingo challenges etc so I joined in some of the fun. I don't think I'll get all the challenges done before I go away but I'll give it a good try!

Here are some of the layouts I made for the challenges..and a couple of challenges over on UKS too.

I used my Counterfeit Kit from the CKCB for this one, the 'DT Member' one and the 'I Made it' one too

Finally I made two more cards, one for a friends birthday and one for the same friend who has just become a Nanny for the second time so I made a card for her and her hubby using my Cameo

and that's it.. not much to show you again..lol!

I'm sorry I will not get to join in next week.. I have no doubt I will visit your blogs though while lazing on my sun lounger..ha ha. Have a great week..until then.. I'm off to have a snoop at all your work spaces. Thanks for the follows everyone!

Elaine. xx

  3. Not much? Not much? Hundreds of times more than I've been able to show for months!! Lovely stuff, you must have a lot of fun working for Merly....could you hold back the subliminal advertising just a bit for WOYWW though? I love the working space you have - if it's not in front of you, you only have to make a half turn...it has to be said that if I have to get off my butt to reach something, I usually go without it!

  9. I thought I had been going nuts with my crafting but you have way outdone me! GORGEOUS cards and layouts!! Thank you for visiting my desk earlier! I was in the UK in the 1990's sometime when it set a record for some of the hottest temps on record. Likewise was there once when it was cold and didn't stop raining the whole time! I have a friend on Mallorca and wish I could visit too! DH and I have discussed retiring there but…money is always an issue! Have a great week. Vickie aka Okienurse #11
