A clutch of layouts from me today

Hi all

A bit of an absence again from me because of illness, a holiday and no time to do anything other than the basics..however..drum roll please.. this last weekend I managed to get away on a Scrapbooking Retreat with my group of local girlfriends who also love to scrap.

I was a bit worried about staying at the hotel as I've been suffering with a shocking chest infection and I was sharing a room so I thought maybe I would keep my room mate awake all night..but she says not, so all good there! Lol

Anyway.. I managed a respectable 16 layouts and I'm sharing a few of my favourites here..16 would be just too many to bore you with ! Lol

Here they are

Made with Kaisercrafts Mint Wishes collection amongst others

Made using an Authentiques collection

Made using scraps and as part of a challenge where I had to hand cut a title. I know its rough but it was my first ever attempt at doing that! lol

Made using 'All That Glitters' from Kaisercraft

Made using Teresa Collins 'Hello My Name Is'

Made using a 6" paper pad from Kaisercraft too. I can't remember the name of the collection!
Made using scraps

Made using random papers and stamps (it is straight in real life!) lol

Anyway that's it for today..hopefully I'll be back sooner than the last time health and family permitting!

Thanks for stopping by. Do let me know you've visited.

Pink and white mixed media layout

Afternoon all

Today I'm bringing you a scrapbook layout based on a sketch and colour combination that features over on the White with One blog for October. This months challenge is based not the fact that October is Breast Cancer Awareness month both in the UK and in Australia where this White with One blog is based.

Now, as anyone that follows me knows, my dear Daughter in Law has recently been diagnosed with breast cancer for the second time in a year! As you can imagine this has shocked our family to the core and we are all willing her to fight this terrible disease..especially given the fact that she has our lovely Grand-daughter and our son to fight for. (She is the little girl in pink featured in the page).

They also gave us a sketch to use for Page Maps (who design the most lovely sketches) so I made my layout using this sketch here.

First I used a stencil and texture paste to create the background of circles and then I found
co-ordinating papers to add to the layout. Once I was happy with the placement I coloured the Kaisercraft rhinestone flourish and the mirrored dancer with a pink Sharpie and then added a few flowers for added dimension along with some chevrons I punched and added texture past to.

I hope you like! Do remember to let me know you've visited.

Hope to see you again soon
