May CKCB Magic Memories

Good morning all

Today I am bringing you my May Counterfeit Kit which I am calling 'Magic Memories'. This is primarily because I have a lot of Disney photos to scrap this month..in fact a whole 12" x 12" album has to be completed by the 13th of June.. so expect to see lots of layouts!  It will be a gift for my sons GF who turns 30 then.

This month  over at The Counterfeit Kit Challenge Blog we were tasked with imitating this lovely kit from 2014 from Quirky Kits

Followed by their Lite kit

 and their embellishment kit

and here is my 'Magic Memories'

Regular followers of my blog will know that I added a lot of black and gold to my April Kit, 'April Skies'. Now although I had a good go at killing that kit.. I didn't quite manage it and so I took all those left over pieces from 'April Skies' and used this as the start to my 'Magic Memories'. I had the gold triangle piece of Vellum from the original Quirky kit so I made sure I included this.

Strangely enough I did have the jade coloured bokeh piece of paper that may have been included in this kit.. but I had used it.. just last week (see the post before this one!) Soooooo- as I knew I wanted to scrap Disney pictures I dug deep into some old stash and found my Simple Stories 'Say Cheese' papers which also have gold on them so it all blends really well.

To finish it all off I chose some gold, white and black alphas and I will edit them with Pro Markers as required. I also added some black and gold tags and some red, black, gold and white pearls too. I will add more embellishments as I need them.. which I'm sure I shall!

Anyways.. that's it.. I do hope you like what you see.. and be prepared to be bombarded with Disney layouts!

Have a great month.. and do remember to let me know you've visited,

Elaine

  2. Nice kit, it's good to see the aqua mixed in with the traditional Disney colors.

  3. We're clearly thinking alike this month, as I so very nearly added red to my black, white and gold kit! I can't wait to see how you use your kit!

  4. Very cute kit! The Disney papers have just enough "non-Disney" colors to nicely match with your other selections. And I like that you're giving your April leftovers another chance by including them too.

  5. I like the idea of using what's left in the last month's kit as a basis to build on with the inspiration from the new kit. Great job. And I've written on another post just how much I love the Say Cheese papers. This looks like the perfect kit to get those pages done and I'm sure that album will be awesome!
